Have you decided yet who you will vote for in the upcoming election?  It is only two months away and I have honestly not made up my mind yet.  I am watching debates, reading the news, and researching on my own so that I can make an informed decision.

I found a great site tonight that I just have to share.  It’s called Obama vs. McCain and it offers comparisons between the two on all of the issues.  For example- education is an important issue to me, so I clicked on the education link and found very informative facts about the two candidates.  The site has everything you can think of- including complete biography information on Obama and McCain, the major issue comparisons and even trivia type information.

This site is amazing and I know I will be spending a lot of time reading what each of our candidates stand for on the issues important to me and my family.

Whoever you’re planning to vote for- just make sure you exercise your right and get out there and vote!

I don’t usually post political stuff, but I think this is worth posting:

I was talking to a friend of mine’s little girl, and she said she wanted to be President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, ‘If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?’

She replied, ‘I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.’

‘Wow - what a worthy goal,’ I told her. ‘You don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow the grass, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I’ll pay you $50. Then I’ll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food or a new house.’

She thought that over for a few seconds…’cause she’s only 6. And while her Mom glared at me, she looked me straight in the eye and asked, ‘Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?’

And I said, ‘Welcome to the Republican Party.’

Her folks still aren’t talking to me.

See?  Funny, isn’t it.  But seriously- do you know who you’re going to vote for?  How did you think the debate last night was?
