Do you know what I could really use right now?  A vacation!  I am stressed to the max and it just keeps on piling up.  So I was checking out some nice fun activities to do in Hilton Head South Carolina.  One of the things I love to do while I’m on vacation is going out to eat.  I love eating out because cooking every day at home can get pretty boring and also takes a lot of time and effort.  So, when we go away I always look forward to finding some fabulous places to eat.  The great news about going to Hilton Head is that I can relax all day on the beach and then eat at some fabulous restaurants in the evening!  Perfect vacation, in my opinion.

Back during the summer my husband and I were planning a trip to Disney World with my family.  We had the dates all set and were ready to make our reservations.  Then some things came up for one of the groups who was supposed to be going.  We tried to make it work out and to figure out when everyone could go, but it just didn’t happen.  So, now whenever I see people talking about their Disney vacations I start to feel sad thinking about how we are not going.  I had even started doing a series on how to plan your Disney trip since we have been a few times.  Now I don’t want to finish the series because it makes me depressed.

Taking a trip to Las Vegas may not sound exactly like a family vacation.  But, Las Vegas has changed over the years and it really has a family friendly environment now.  We went about 5 years ago with our then 11 year old.  We started out at the Grand Canyon for a couple of days.  Then we stayed at a hotel in las vegas for about a week.

We are not really gamblers- and that is okay because there is tons of stuff to do in Las Vegas besides gambling.  We went to all sorts of shows- many of them were free, we ate tons of food, we went to more shows and ate more food.  We toured many of the hotels- they are amazingly decorated.

If you’re looking for a great family vacation- some fun for everyone, Las Vegas is definitely a place to consider!

Before you know it the cold winter days will be here.  Where we live it often means we can not even get outside to play because it is too cold.  I can already feel the winter blues setting in just thinking about it.  So, to keep myself from falling into depression I am looking at some family friendly vacation destinations that we could plan to go to sometime in January or February.  So many times after Christmas there is a feeling of let down with nothing to look forward to.  I think it will help with that if I plan a vacation.

I found a great site- The Best Family Vacations that is a good resource for making your plans.  And of course there are tons of sites can check out on the Internet to give you tons of good ideas.
